Texas-Tough Surfaces
for Houston Contractors
RESIST turns worn, structurally sound concrete into a textured, slip-resistant surface without the tearout, haul-off, or new pour. It has three parts: a flexible epoxy, Armorstone basalt aggregate, and a protective top coat. It’s built for Houston’s heat, humidity, heavy rain, and rapid weather changes.
It’s a strong fit for driveways, patios, walkways, and commercial entrances throughout Houston and across Texas.
Why Contractors Are Adding RESIST
Three Components. One System.
RESIST Epoxy
Resist Base Coat | A flexible epoxy that bonds to properly prepared concrete.
Armorstone Aggregate | Crushed basalt that’s broadcast into the epoxy for texture, traction, and color.
RESIST Top Coat | The protective finish that locks the system in.

RESIST Installation Process
Step 1 | Prep the Surface
Concrete must be structurally sound, clean, and free of dirt, dust, paint, sealers, curing agents, grease, oil, or anything that keeps the epoxy from bonding.
Step 2 | Apply RESIST Epoxy 150 sq.ft. per gal
Step 3 | Broadcast Armorstone Aggregate into the wet epoxy
Step 4 | Remove Loose Aggregate
Step 5 | Complete the system with RESIST Top Coat.

RESIST EPOXY SAND OVERLAY FAQ
What is the RESIST System?
It's a three-part exterior surface system: Epoxy Base Coat, Armorstone basalt aggregate, and a clear Top Coat. Installed together, they create a durable, textured, slip-resistant surface over existing concrete.
Can RESIST go over existing concrete?
Yes, as long as the concrete is structurally sound and properly prepared. Surface prep is the most important step in the system.
Is RESIST slippery when wet?
The Armorstone aggregate creates texture for traction. Final slip resistance depends on how the aggregate is broadcast and the top coat is applied, which is why training matters.
Is RESIST only for residential work?
Not at all. It works on homes and commercial entrances, walkways, retail, hospitality, and other exterior surfaces.
Do I need training to install RESIST?
It's strongly recommended. SCP offers hands-on training in English and Spanish.
