Hand-Carved Stone Installation Process
Austin Stone is a premium overlay solution that transforms outdoor surfaces into beautiful carved stone.
Step 1 – All surfaces shall be clean and free of dirt, dust, paint, sealers, form releases, curing agents, grease, oil, or anything inhibiting maximum bond to the surface.
Step 2 – Apply AS Bond Primer, undiluted, over a saturated substrate.
Step 3 – Place mixed AS overlay material onto the surface and screed with a gauge rake. Set to the desired thickness. Smooth out material with a Fresno or handheld trowel.
Step 4 – Hand-carve in textures and grout line patterns.
Step 5 – Apply Color
